Maple Miso Cedar Plank Spring Salmon

Prep time: 15 minutes

Serves: 4 people

Propane BBQ

  1. Thaw in fridge overnight.

  2. Remove grill from BBQ and place cedar plank directly over flames.

  3. Put the lid on and cook 8-9 minutes until is just cooked through (about 122F in the thickest part of the flesh).

  4. Enjoy! Transfer to a platter, cedar plank and all and dig in.

Or Charcoal BBQ

  1. Thaw in fridge overnight.

  2. Create a mature coal bed large enough to fit the cedar plank directly on top of the coals

  3. Place plank on coals, use tongs to put a couple coals directly on the exposed edges of the plank to aid with smoking, then immediately put the lid on the BBQ and close the vents if there are any. Cook, covered 7-9 minutes  until is just cooked through (about 122F in the thickest part of the flesh).

  4. Enjoy! Transfer to a platter, cedar plank and all and dig in.
